We have been in the midst of a 3 yr drought, especially bad the past 6 months. When I cut grass last week (what grass there was, more like sprigs here and there) was like cutting straw. It started raining Monday and has rained in torrents every day. But that's good, we are now 1/4" above normal now on our water table. I feel bad for people who chose this week to vacation in this area though! I have had a nasty headache all week from the atmospheric pressure. Supposed to go back to the normal pattern of an afternoon storm but not all day starting tomorrow. I need to catch some rays...

More rain on tap here today. I was hoping to hit the beach this morning but no such luck. The cashier at Publix this morning asked me if I was having withdrawal symptoms from not being at the beach ALL WEEK. I told her yeah, pretty much. Oh well, we do need the rain and the beach isn't going anywhere... At least I have green grass again.

Did hit the pool yesterday. Water was cold but it felt great. Looking forward to a lot more of it this summer.

It's funny, this girl I know went to Florida (just got back Sunday) and it rained every day except for like 1 and a half days.
I laughed because she took our rain down there with her... now she is back.. it's raining again.
